Mrs. Terry, a native of Wilmington, Delaware, boasts an impressive educational background, having graduated from the best HBCU on the planet, Delaware State University with a dual Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood and Special Education in 1999. She furthered her academic pursuits at Wilmington University, earning a Master's degree in Special Education and School Leadership in 2010 and currently pursuing her Doctoral Degree.
With over two decades of experience in education, Mrs. Terry has made a significant impact in various districts in New Castle County and Cecil County Public Schools. Currently, she is in her eleventh year with the Brandywine School District, having previously served as Special Education Coordinator and teacher at Harlan Elementary. As the Dean of Students at Concord High School, Mrs. Terry is dedicated to fostering a positive school environment, supporting both students and staff, and ensuring equitable educational experiences for all.
Passionate about advocating for underserved communities, Mrs. Terry extends her commitment to making a difference beyond the classroom. Outside of her professional life, she cherishes time spent traveling with her husband, two awesome children (ages 32 and 17), and adventurous three-year-old grandson. Her hobbies include cooking, sewing, relaxation, and nurturing friendships and family bonds
