Ms. Sanya Terry
Dean of Students
Mrs. Terry, a native of Wilmington, Delaware, boasts an impressive educational background, having graduated from the best HBCU on the planet, Delaware State University with a dual Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood and Special Education in 1999. She furthered her academic pursuits at Wilmington University, earning a Master's degree in Special Education and School Leadership in 2010 and currently pursuing her Doctoral Degree.
With over two decades of experience in education, Mrs. Terry has made a significant impact in various districts in New Castle County and Cecil County Public Schools. Currently, she is in her eleventh year with the Brandywine School District, having previously served as Special Education Coordinator and teacher at Harlan Elementary. As the Dean of Students at Concord High School, Mrs. Terry is dedicated to fostering a positive school environment, supporting both students and staff, and ensuring equitable educational experiences for all.
Passionate about advocating for underserved communities, Mrs. Terry extends her commitment to making a difference beyond the classroom. Outside of her professional life, she cherishes time spent traveling with her husband, two awesome children (ages 32 and 17), and adventurous three-year-old grandson. Her hobbies include cooking, sewing, relaxation, and nurturing friendships and family bonds
Mr. Regan Hidalgo
Dean of Students
Having grown up in Hockessin and now residing in Wilmington, Mr. Hidalgo has deep roots in Delaware. He earned both his Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics Education and Master’s degree in School Leadership from Wilmington University. In addition to his educational background, he is a Certified Athletic Administrator through the National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association (NIAAA), reflecting his passion for both educational and athletic leadership.
Mr. Hidalgo brings six years of experience in education to Concord High School. Prior to joining the Brandywine School District, he taught mathematics and served as his school’s Athletic Director. As Dean of Students at Concord, he is dedicated to cultivating a school culture in which students feel known, valued, challenged, and supported. He looks forward to building genuine relationships with students, families, staff, and the greater Concord community. Above all, he wants every student who walks through Concord’s doors to have the positive high school experience they deserve.
Outside of education, Mr. Hidalgo enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter, playing golf, and following all Philadelphia sports teams. Whether in the classroom, on the athletic field, or throughout the halls, he is passionate about supporting young people and helping them become the best versions of themselves.
