Driver Education

Concord High School offers Drivers Education courses in the 1st and 3rd marking periods of the school year.  Drivers Education is open to 10th graders only.  All 11th and 12th grade students who need to take it must be approved by the Drivers Education Department.  Students are required to pass the 30-hour classroom phase, simulation and in-car training to receive a final passing grade.

The State of Delaware requires that all students are required to have 5 passing credits in core classes to get their drivers license.  Students who don't meet the grade requirements are not able to complete the simulation or in-car training phase.  If a student doesn't meet grade requirements for 2 consecutive marking periods, they will not be able to pass Drivers Education.
