Health Education
Course Description: Health education is a 1/2 credit required course for all 9th grade students. Successful completion is mandatory for graduation. This course will provide current information and concepts to develop a positive healthy lifestyle, cope with emotions, make sound decisions and more. A variety of learning activities will develop favorable understanding, attitudes and conduct relating to individual and community health.
Physical Education
The high school physical education program provides students with the knowledge and skills necessary to lead a healthy and active lifestyle. There are a variety of courses available for students. Classes focus on learning the benefits of health-related fitness and building motor skills. The program is designed to encourage students to stay fit and healthy throughout their lifetime. All students will be tested in the Fitness Gram.
