World Languages

The CHS World Languages Department wants students to be able to communicate in a foreign language both inside and outside the classroom setting.  In class, students explore other cultures and their influence throughout the world. They learn to read and write the language. They study the people’s values and customs and the country’s major geographic and historical features. Students who learn a foreign language will gain greater insight into their own language through the study of another.
