Healthy students make great learners. The main function of the school nurse is to take care of health-related problems and needs that occur during normal school hours. While we work closely with a student's doctors if needed, the school nurse doesn't take the place of a primary care physician. Injuries or illnesses that occur outside of the school day should be tended to immediately at a doctors office or hospital. The school nurse is happy to work in tandem with the student's doctor to support the student during the school day.
Students and parents are asked to contact the school nurse if they have any questions.

Health screenings are offered to students during the school year. The nurse can administer vision, hearing, speech and orthopedic screening. If something is found that merits attention, parents are notified so that they can follow up with a specialist.
Health Examination Requirement for Students Entering Grade 9
All students entering 9th Grade must have a current health examination on file. The exam has to have been completed within two years. To make sure your child has a completed form on file by the first day of school in September, we urge our parents to schedule appointments for their rising 9th graders as soon as possible.
If your child intends to participate in sports at Concord High School the DIAA Sports Physical Form must be completed after April 1st.
Copies of these exams must be on file with the nurse.
